eBay is an interesting place to peruse, but the sellers are often not too knowledgeable about bottles. This can be a good thing, but more often than not it's laughable. That bottle might be worth the postage, but little more. There is another simpleton who has been listing a Lash's Homer's Ginger Brandy box for $1895 for months. Despite being told that their price is about $1850 too high, it has been continuously listed for some months. Wonders never cease.
I have noticed a good number of over-priced bottles on ebay usually with the "buy it now" option. Many of these bottles have been listed/relisted for years without the asking price ever being lowered. I am not sure how a seller makes money paying the relisting fees while never selling the bottles. FYI, there are currently at least 22 Cal. Fig Syrup bottles up ranging from $40 buy it now down to $3.99 buy it now. Including tooled and machine made examples.
